MetricaOS ("we", "us", or "our") operates the MetricaOS platform — a SaaS service for AI usage metering, credit management, and billing automation. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard information when you use our platform, website, or related services.

By accessing or using MetricaOS, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the service.

2. Information We Collect

  • Account data — name, email address, company name, and role when you register an account.
  • Usage event data — AI API usage records that you ingest via the MetricaOS event API. This data is processed on your behalf as a data processor.
  • Billing data — subscription plan, invoice history, and payment method details (processed by our payment provider; we do not store raw card numbers).
  • Log and diagnostic data — API request logs, error traces, and performance metrics.
  • Browser and device data — IP address, browser type, operating system, and referring URLs.
  • Communications — content of messages you send via email or the contact form.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • Provide, operate, and improve the MetricaOS platform.
  • Process usage events and compute credit deductions on your behalf.
  • Generate invoices and manage your subscription lifecycle.
  • Send transactional emails (invoice notifications, credit-low alerts, password resets).
  • Respond to support requests and enquiries.
  • Monitor for fraud, abuse, and security incidents.
  • Comply with legal obligations.

4. Data We Process on Your Behalf

When you use MetricaOS to meter your customers' AI usage, we act as a data processor on your behalf. We process this data solely to provide the contracted service and do not sell it to third parties.

5. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We may share data with service providers, law enforcement when required by law, and in connection with a business transfer.

6. Data Retention

We retain account data for as long as your account is active. Usage event data and invoice records are retained for a minimum of 7 years. You may request deletion at privacy@metricaos.com.

7. Data Security

All data in transit is encrypted using TLS 1.2+. All data at rest is encrypted using AES-256. API keys are hashed using bcrypt before storage.

8. Cookies and Tracking

Our website uses essential cookies required for operation and anonymised analytics cookies. No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies are used.

9. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, rectify, erase, or port your personal data. Contact privacy@metricaos.com to exercise any of these rights.

10. International Transfers

Your data may be processed in countries other than your own. We rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent mechanisms for cross-border transfers.
